Ant Signal privacy

Your blocking rules stay on your iPhone.

Ant Signal collects account data only when you sign in. It does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

On your device

Protection data stays with the phone.

Screen Time choices, routine selections, saved places, filter state, and setup state remain on your iPhone. Ant Signal’s server does not make blocking decisions.

The internet filter handles domain lookups on the phone. It does not send a browsing history to Ant Signal or your buddy.

If you sign in

Account data supports buddies and help.

An Ant Signal account stores your account ID, the name you choose, and the email or private relay address Apple supplies. Apple handles authentication. Ant Signal never receives your Apple password.

The service carries buddy relationships, approval requests and answers, tamper-alert delivery, device notification registration, and problem reports you choose to send.

Account data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to track you across other apps or websites.

Problem reports

You choose what support receives.

A problem report includes what you write and any screenshots, pictures, videos, or screen recording you attach. You can switch off the included diagnostics before sending.

Diagnostics can include setup and protection status, device details, app logs, and a typed UI trace. The trace records screen configurations and reason codes. It does not record typed text, browsing history, saved places, names, or account IDs.

Your choices

The account is optional.

Core protections work without an account. Buddies and signed-in support require one. You can sign out or delete the account from the app.

Account deletion removes the managed profile and revokes Ant Signal’s Sign in with Apple authorization when Apple makes revocation available. Protections already configured on the phone remain in place.
