Time, place, and Dumb Phone routines

Block apps when and where you need the boundary.

Ant Signal can shield selected apps and sites, everything, or everything except the few apps you need.

Time routines

Choose the hours before the impulse shows up.

Pick the days, start time, and end time. Ant Signal uses iPhone Screen Time controls to shield the activity you selected during that window.

You can start with a suggested Sleep, Work hours, or First hour schedule, then choose what the routine blocks.

Selected

Block chosen apps, categories, and sites.

All

Block every app and site during the routine.

All except

Keep selected individual apps and sites available.

Overnight

Run a window across midnight into the next morning.

Place routines

Let a saved place start or stop the block.

Save a place, choose a radius, and decide whether the routine applies while you are inside or outside it. Ant Signal needs Always and Precise Location access so a place routine can work while the app is closed.

If location updates become uncertain, Ant Signal keeps the last known blocking state instead of silently lifting the shield.

Saved place details remain on the phone and are not sent to your buddy.

Dumb Phone

Turn the whole phone down for a while.

A Dumb Phone session blocks every app and site. Approved essential apps, including Camera, Notes, Maps, Phone, Messages, Calendar, Clock, Settings, and Ant Signal, can stay available.

Ant Signal checks an app against its essential-app list before allowing it through. Choosing an app in the picker does not unlock it by itself.

Buddy approval

Relaxing a routine can require a second person.

With a buddy connected, changes that weaken or remove a routine require approval. The request is bound to the proposed schedule details, including its times and blocked selection.

An approval for changing Work hours does not approve deleting it or changing a different routine.
